Model No: Dimethyaminoethoxyethanol (DMAEE)
MXC-37
MXC-37 is 2-(2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy)ethanol (abbreviated as DMAEE, CAS No.: 1704-62-7). It is a non-emission, low-odor amine catalyst used in the production of polyurethane foams.
Due to its high foaming activity, it is particularly suitable for high-water-content formulations, primarily for low-density, water-blown porous spray polyurethane foams (SPF). The incorporation of DMAEE into the polymer minimizes the typical amine odor in the foam.
It can be used alone as the main catalyst or as a co-catalyst to reduce the use of BDMAEE foam catalysts. DMAEE is also applicable in ester-based stabilizer soft foams, microcellular foams, elastomers, RIM and RRIM systems, as well as rigid foam packaging applications.
